COMMERCIAL AIR DUCT CLEANING
Clean air for everyone who walks through your doors

When I called to raise this, they denied any responsibility and offered excuses for why their air-hose method wouldn't have caught it — while refusing to remove it now except as a new, separately paid job. Whatever the brush's origin, their original service demonstrably failed to clear the duct.
I agreed to pay again anyway, just to get it resolved. I was told a manager would call me first to discuss it. No one called. I waited for the scheduled technician instead; no one showed. When I followed up, I learned the office had canceled the appointment without telling me.
I rescheduled a third time, and to avoid any confusion, I emailed a photo of the brush along with the access details (about 10 feet in, no crawlspace) and asked them to confirm they could do the job at the agreed price. The email went unanswered. When I called, I was assured the office had seen it, reviewed the photo, and confirmed the job and price.
Two weeks later, the technicians arrived — 90 minutes early, before I was ready — with no idea they were there to remove a stuck brush. After using about 15 minutes of my time, they concluded they couldn't remove it after all. I told them to leave and hired someone else.
Across three separate appointments and every point of contact — the initial cleaning a year ago, the manager callback, the scheduled visit, the confirmed job — Capitol Duct Cleaning did not follow through on a single commitment it made. I won't use them again.

In general, every person I've talked to or had out has been kind, courteous, knowledgable and really stepped up. For example, my air return wasn't installed quite right (tract homes), and the tech went and reworked the sheet metal and fixed a problem that was not even theirs. Just free of charge, just pride in work stuff.
Then we all learned that the builder didn't tighten the wires into the control board, so the cleaning vibrated it out and my heat pump went offline. Same time, a burning dust smell in a bathroom kind of lingered (builder left vents open/running during construction.) This time, the head dude himself comes out, they hook it all up, re-clean the entire system for good measure, and my price? Zero. They just did it.
I'll say too, I'm not an HVAC guy but I've worked around construction enough to know when people care, and I'm telling you, these guys are the people you want working on your house.

First, the good: Both Dominick and Quentin, the techs, were great. Very polite and thorough. And Adam, the owner, was very nice and quickly addressed my concerns when the work I expected wasn't done during the first visit.
Now, the not-great: I initially called for professional dryer vent cleaning when I saw lint build-up beyond my lint filter and couldn't reach it with my vacuum. But I quickly learned from the first tech that cleaning from the dryer's lint filter to the wall isn't included in their service. For an industry whose entire existence is based on the threat of dryer lint building up and causing a fire, it's weird to me that this business only addresses PART of the threat. When I spoke with the owner about this, to his credit, he eventually agreed to send a second tech out to provide that service at no extra charge.
The other bad is not that it took 4 business days to get this resolved, as I think that's a pretty reasonable timeframe. No, it's the fact that I've received 3 texts and 1 email since the 1st visit begging for a review. I don't need to be hounded daily (esp before the work is complete) to provide a review. And I don't need to be told that the techs' bonuses depend on getting a five-star review.
In the end, the work was performed well and the price seemed reasonable. But the bumps along the way were annoying.

I highly recommend Capitol Duct Cleaning, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Larry and Q. Outstanding service from start to finish!

I highly recommend this company!

We confidently refer our clients to Capitol Duct knowing they’ll receive exceptional service every time. Whether residential or commercial, we highly recommend reaching out to their team.

I also want to thank the front desk team, especially Amy and her co-worker. Because of my kids’ school event, they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I can’t thank them enough for their flexibility and kindness.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!

The team came out to clean our ductwork and dryer vent, and they did a thorough, professional job from start to finish. They were polite, genuinely friendly, and took the time to explain every step of the process, answering all our questions with patience. They also sanitized the system and gave helpful, non-pushy recommendations for maintaining clean indoor air. We immediately noticed a difference in air quality. Highly recommend!

Prolong your HVAC system’s lifespan
Refresh the air quality for those with asthma and allergies

Reduce mold growth in your ducts

Lower your energy bills and carbon footprint
For over 25 years, Capitol Duct Cleaning has served businesses across Washington with professional air duct cleaning. We’re proud of the long-standing relationships we’ve built with commercial clients in our community.
More than any home, businesses experience heavy foot traffic, outside air, and general coming and going. All of that coming and going contributes to dust, debris, and contaminants building up in your system. Left unchecked, that buildup restricts airflow and reduces air quality for everyone in the building.
Our team uses specialized equipment to access and clean every part of your duct system, even the hard-to-reach areas that most DIY efforts can’t touch. The result? A cleaner, healthier environment and an HVAC system that runs more efficiently.

Our Clean-Duct Guarantee
100%
Satisfaction
We hold our commercial work to the same standard you expect from your own business: professional, thorough, and customer-focused. If something’s not right, let us know. We’ll take care of it quickly. With Capitol Duct Cleaning, you get straightforward, no-nonsense service and duct cleaning that delivers real results.
Clear the Air—The Benefits Go Beyond Clean Ducts

Common materials we remove during commercial duct cleaning include dust, dirt, pollen, pet dander, lint, dust mites, and skin cells—just to name a few. Clearing these out helps your business maintain cleaner air and a more comfortable atmosphere. Your employees, customers, and clients will all benefit from fresher, easier-to-breathe air.

Measurable Results. Visible Impact.
Once your ducts have been cleared of buildup, the difference is noticeable. You, your clients, and your employees will breathe cleaner, fresher air throughout the building.
With improved airflow, your HVAC system won’t have to work as hard. That means lower energy use, reduced utility costs, and a longer life for your equipment. Regular duct cleaning is a pivotal part of keeping your system running at its best.

What’s different about commercial air duct cleaning versus residential?
Commercial air duct cleaning is similar to residential cleaning but on a much larger scale and with added complexity. Commercial buildings like offices, schools, and retail spaces have larger HVAC systems with extensive duct networks that may span multiple floors or large areas.
How often should a commercial building have its air ducts cleaned?
The cleaning frequency depends on the type of business and its environment, but many commercial buildings follow a similar timeline to residential, roughly every 3 to 5 years for a full cleaning.
How long does commercial air duct cleaning take?
Service times vary greatly since commercial properties differ in size. Larger campuses will take more time, while smaller facilities may require less. For an accurate time estimate, we recommend reaching out to our team.
How much does commercial air duct cleaning cost?
Costs vary since each business is different. Capitol Duct Cleaning recommends contacting us for a customized quote to get a more accurate idea of your specific cost.
How can I tell if the commercial air duct cleaning worked?
Since ducts are often difficult to access, a professional will use tools to allow you to see the ducts both before and after cleaning. This ensures you can verify that the work was done properly.
