IMPROVE YOUR
INDOOR AIR QUALITY

BY ENSURING YOUR DUCTWORK IS

PROPERLY SEALED

There are a variety of factors that can contribute to the overall quality of the air in your home. Where you live, filtration systems, and more can play factors into how easily you and your family can breathe. One of the most impactful things of all for indoor air quality is your air ducts. Air ducts make their way through some of the more undesirable locations of your home such as attics, crawlspaces, wall interiors, and more.

When there are leaks and gaps in your air ducts in these undesirable areas, your system will suck in dirt, dust, allergens, odors, pollutants, and other things that you might not want in the air you breathe.

This is especially troublesome for those who suffer from allergies and asthma or others who are sensitive to air quality. Unsealed air return ducts suck in dirt, dust, allergens, smelly odors, and other pollutants from these areas. They also bring humidity which leads to moisture and comfort issues inside your home.

Duct sealing can drastically improve
your indoor air quality and help
your family breathe easier.

THE AEROSEAL PROCESS

The Aeroseal duct sealing process is

done in three easy steps!

In step one, Capitol Duct Cleaning and Sealing in Olympia will isolate your air ducts. This is done by using foam plugs to block off the entrances from the AC and the furnace, ensuring that the only way air can escape is through gaps and leaks in your vents.

After the ducts are isolated, we attach the Aeroseal duct sealing system to your ductwork and run a pretest. The pretest provides us a benchmark or baseline of sorts that we can use to measure the success of the duct sealing work.

Step 2 is where the magic happens! Air duct leaks are located and then sealed with the Aeroseal duct sealing technology. Any gaps or leaks throughout the entire ductwork are sealed quickly and safely from the inside with the help of the small adhesive particles. Throughout this process, everything is monitored by a duct-sealing technician in real-time from a computer screen.

In the final step, you, the homeowners, are presented with a certificate verifying and proving the air ducts were properly sealed. Now, you’ll enjoy the results instantly with lower energy costs, balanced heating and cooling throughout the home, and more!
